Father gained residence of son

When my son was alive he faced serious problems following his separation from his partner. They had a son together whom Lee adored. However his ex-partner was determined to stop Lee having any contact with his little boy and began to make false allegations against Lee such as allegations of domestic violence or harassment. However of greater consequence her new partner began to abuse Lee’s son. The abuse was so bad Lee’s son was eventually blinded in one eye and all contact was terminated as this was cited as the cause of the new partner’s anger.

Lee made contact with John Ison in 2004 having been recommended to him by the local authority. Within a short period of time John was counselling Lee and advising him on the best course of action to recommence contact with Lee’s son. John was Lee’s representative in court and also a mediator between Lee and his ex-partner.

Within two years of knowing John, Lee had won full custody of his little boy and, as part of John’s support, had assisted Lee in starting his own business. Sadly Lee is not with us today as he died of heart complications when he was only 35.

However John’s commitment to what he believes in did not stop there. John helped organise Lee’s funeral and still keeps in regular contact with Lee’s son and myself to this day to ensure Lee’s little boy has the best opportunities for the future.

I only wish there were more people like John in this world as it would certainly be a happier place. I cannot praise John enough and would recommend anyone to ask John, or indeed the rest of the team, for assistance.
